The Dollar Eighty Software

Let us run you through the different features
Dollar Eighty has and how they work…

There are three different types of targets available on Dollar Eighty: Hashtags, Locations and Profiles. These allow you to filter your Posts page which provide you with the posts to like and comment on – to help you find content that suits your niche.

To set them up, you need to click on the Targets tab and fill in the targets that you like.

  • Hashtags: Never underestimate the power of a hashtag, and the vast number of combinations of words that hashtags can be made from. As you begin to type these into your Targets, more suggestions should pop up. Feel free to make the most of these! If you are stuck for some inspiration check out our Handy Guide to Hashtags.
  • Locations: Filter posts by Location to find content in the places that matter to you. This could be as large as a country, or as small as your favourite restaurant or event. Unlock these when you become a Premium Dollar Eighty user.
  • TIP: The more specific you are with location, the more targeted your results will be.
  • Profiles: These are a great way to target either specific IG accounts, or profile types that align with your niche. Using key words such as ‘travel’ will add accounts which have ‘travel’ in their name. Make the most of how broad and narrow profile targets can be. As you get commenting and interacting, you will be able to work out which profiles are best suited to your niche.

Collections: These are a great way to efficiently move your favourite targets around. You can add and delete different targets, and save them under different collections. It takes only a few clicks to switch between them and widen your engagement potential.

TIP: To make the most of your Targets, we encourage you to change them around to test out new targets to find your perfect niche. Use our Dollar Eighty Checklist Calendar to keep on top of these and know when to change them around. The best way to do this, is to have different Target Collections, which organises your targets into categories and saves them, allowing you to change up your targets with ease.

The Posts page displays personalised content which aligns with your Targets. Here you can switch between Recent and Top posts, and filter through your Hashtags, Locations and Profiles.

When you change between different Target Collections, this will effect what you see under Posts, giving you more variation for what you can engage with.

The Explore page is a great place to go if you are looking to find new and different content to engage with. It is not limited to your Targets, and therefore provides a much wider scope for different posts from different accounts.

Spend some time scrolling through this page to spark inspiration, and help provide new ideas for when it comes time for you to post your own new content, or for when you need some guidance on the best hashtags.

The History page is helpful for many reasons. It tracks your commenting progress by showing which posts you have commented on in the past.

  • Comments Completed Today: Shows your commented on posts.
  • Comments Queued: Shows comments waiting in the queue to be posted.
  • Old Comments: Displays the posts which you have commented on in the past in chronological order

TIP: look back at your history page for inspiration for your new content. Because you are engaging with people within your niche, their posts will be the ones that save within your history.

This awesome feature allows Dollar Eighty users to build communities, where users can create and join groups to be able to mix with like-minded people and accounts.

Here you can find inspiration for new content, share targets and effortlessly engage with your own niche.

We recommend joining groups, or making your own if none exist that match what you are looking for.

Invite your friends and other Dollar Eighty users with similar interests to join your groups in order to grow your niche.

How and what you comment is the most important part of your engagement. Making sure that you avoid commenting like a bot, ensures that people will want to respond to your comments and engage with you. Write new and personalised comments on each post.

Consider the caption: What is the person saying and how can you meaningfully respond? Genuine responses build genuine relationships.

Consider the photo: Is there something you can relate to, and comment on?

Be genuine: The algorithm doesn’t lie – interaction with other accounts by commenting and responding to comments is the best way to boost your engagement, and doing so authentically. Commenting useful and educated content which shows you have genuinely considered the post and the persons profile helps build these connections.

Dollar Eighty’s queue feature ensures that when you comment, they are spread out over time to ensure that your commenting doesn’t seem automated and bot like – follow the progress in the History page, and make sure to keep the tabs open on that account until all of the comments in the queue have cleared.

If your comments go grey, don’t panic. This is Dollar Eighty ensuring that you comment something different in order to protect your account.

When it comes time to respond to comments on people’s posts – use IG to directly engage with those comments, be sure to like and reply something meaningful to spark great engagement.

Tip: Account Size

Be smart about your commenting. If you have a brand new account with no posts and very little followers, and chose to send out hundreds of comments, it could make you vulnerable to being flagged as a fake account by IG.

We have set out some recommended commenting guidelines to stick to for the first few weeks of Dollar Eighty:

Less than 100 followers: 30 comments per day
Between 100 and 250 followers: 60 comments per day
250 followers or more: 90 comments per day

The Dollar Eighty Strategy

What is it? Why use it? How does it work?

Dollar Eighty is an Instagram growth strategy formulated by world-leading marketer Gary Vaynerchuk. He
suggests leaving your 2 cents (opinion) on 9 posts for 10 different hashtags.

0.02 Cents X 9 Posts x 10 Hashtags = $1.80

Our software helps users to put this strategy into action. You can filter content that you interact with by hashtags, locations and profiles in order to interact with what you want to see.

We created this software because we saw a need for a more straight-forward way to engage with content on IG, through hashtags, profiles and locations.

It works in such a way that it provides an easy way for you to engage with others within your niches and community, in a way that provides incentive and rewards (get that IG following growing).

Our Dollar Eighty software provides the structure and framework that you need to track your commenting and engagement, and it filters the content you engage with to align with what you really care about.

And, it tracks it too! Keep an eye on the progress bar up the top of your screen to notice when you hit that 90 comment target each day

What to expect when using our platform to
implement the Dollar Eighty Strategy over time.

Good things take time, which is why we encourage persistence and patience. When you combine personalised and consistent commenting, with genuine responses and interaction with other accounts, over time, you will begin to notice your following grow.

Genuine connection with our audiences and following, trumps larger superficial connection. A more targeted, and more interactive following is preferred, because it sets better foundations for authentic engagement and growth – keep this in mind when tracking your following and interaction.

TIP: remember that every comment you make on other profiles, are viewed by that accounts followers too – just more opportunity for you to interact! Keep this in mind when commenting thoughtfully.

Trying to grow your account without content
is like growing a plant without water.

It’s a two way street. Whilst commenting and engaging with other users is key, you also need to ensure that you are providing your followers with quality content, and doing so regularly.

Check out this blog by for some tips on content creation. They recommend creating mood boards, which your History page on Dollar Eighty can provide inspiration for – after all, you will be commenting on posts that you can relate to!

The First 4 Weeks

Our handy calendar will make your first month
easy and educational. Then it’s up to you!

Download the Dollar Eighty 4 week Calendar here!!

Week 1: Let’s get started

Now that you have the Dollar Eighty extension and created your account, it’s time to start growing! Download the Dollar Eighty Calendar and either fill it in digitally, or print it out and pop it on the wall. This calendar will guide you through your first month as a Dollar Eighty Premium user.

Within this first week, you will set up two different Target Collections and switch between them each day to ensure you are getting some variety in the content you engage with. Be sure to check out the awesome Dollar Eighty features such as the Explore page, your Activity and the Leaderboards to spark some inspiration.

For the first 3 days it’s best to ease into the strategy so that your activity won’t be seen as unusual when you start making all 90 comments. We suggest 20 comments a day during that period.

Week 2: Make the most of premium features

This week, make sure to keep up the commenting efforts that you set up in the previous week, and enhance your activity by making the most of some of Dollar Eighty’s premium features. Create a 3rd and 4th Target Collection to really get that variation and wide range of content. Make the most of the Groups feature by joining groups that align with your niche and interests.

TIP: Join these at the start of the week so that you can allow time to be accepted into the group and get commenting and interacting on others.

Week 3: Get Creative

Woohoo, you are half way through your first month of Dollar Eighty! The great news is that there are still more features to make the most of. To ensure that other accounts want to engage with your content, don’t forget to create and post consistently – use the History page if you are stuck for inspiration. This means that when you engage with others, and they look at your account, you are more likely to get a follow, like or comment. If you haven’t already, try adding some Location targets to find content relating to specific locations.

Week 4: Growth

You are now a Dollar Eighty Pro! Check in with your progress this week – have you seen growth when looking back to your first week using Dollar Eighty? Make sure that you are still keeping up with switching between the Target Collections and commenting authentically. Let us know how you are going – tag us in a post on IG, or DM us with any progress or questions you might have @dollar.eighty.
